Niamh Ní Charra, born in Killarney, Ireland, is an Irish fiddler, concertina player and singer. She began playing music at the age of four. Ní Charra's breakthrough came with her eight-year stint as a soloist with Riverdance, performing in over 2500 shows worldwide. Her debut solo album, Ón Dá Thaobh/From Both Sides, was released in 2007 and received critical acclaim, earning Mojo's Top Ten Folk Albums of 2007. This was followed by Súgach Sámh / Happy Out in 2010 and Cuz: A Tribute to Terry “Cuz” Teahan in 2013, both of which were well-received. Ní Charra has also collaborated with notable artists such as Carlos Núñez and The Chieftains, contributing to albums like Alborada do Brasil and San Patricio.
