Givers, an indie pop group from Lafayette, Louisiana, formed in 2008 following Hurricane Katrina. The group, consisting of Tiffany Lamson, Taylor Guarisco, Kirby Campbell, Josh LeBlanc, William Henderson, and Nick Stephan, began their musical journey performing at local venues. Their debut EP was released online for free in 2009 after a performance at Spanish Moon in Baton Rouge led to an opening slot with Dirty Projectors. This opportunity resulted in a tour and subsequent record deal with Glassnote Records. In 2011, Givers released their debut album In Light, which received favorable reviews and featured the single "Up Up Up". The band performed at several major festivals, including Coachella and Lollapalooza in 2012. Following a hiatus after extensive touring, they returned with new music and released their second full-length album, New Kingdom, in 2015.
