The Uptones, an American ska band from Northern California, were formed in 1981 by high school students in Berkeley. Inspired by the English 2 Tone sound, they began performing live shows shortly after forming. Throughout the 1980s, The Uptones played sold-out shows across the Bay Area and supported major acts such as the Go-Go's and UB40. They disbanded after seven years but reunited in 2002 with a new lineup that included original members Eric Din, Paul Jackson, Ben Eastwood, and Adam Beach. In 2008 they released Skankin' Foolz Unite!, followed by performances at the Warped Tour in 2010.
