David & Steve Gordon are among the original pioneers of New Age/Meditation Music and World-Fusion Music. Their music has received critical praise, won awards such as Visionary Album of the Year and Best World Album and has been on the Billboard New Age chart.
Over their 40-year career they have recorded Ambient Meditation Music, Acoustic Guitar and Piano music, Native Flute music, Shamanic Drum Music and Global Electronica. But whatever the musical style, their mission is to create music that connects people to the Earth and their own sacred peace within.
It all got started back in 1982 in the Sequoia National Park when they became inspired to compose music that would create a natural interplay between the sounds of nature and instruments such as piano, guitar and flute. Their early albums such as Misty Forest Morning and Garden of Serenity have become New Age Music classics.
Over the years they went in new directions, combining New Age Music with rhythmic World drums on groundbreaking albums such as Sacred Earth Drums that started the World Fusion Music genre. They also produced the influential Buddha-Lounge and Café de Luna series of Chill-Out Electronica featuring artists from around the world.
They are currently composing music for acoustic guitar and piano along with Native and Bamboo flutes. These new recordings will be the next generation of their original intent of music for meditation, relaxation and healing.
