Sunbeam, a German electronic music group, was formed in 1992 by Florian Preis and Michael Gerlach. The duo, who had known each other since childhood, began their musical journey with progressive dance and trance productions. Their first notable release was the E.P. Of High Adventure EP in 1994, followed by "Outside World", which featured vocal samples from the film Akira. This track gained significant popularity through its "Seismic Remix" in 1999. Sunbeam's breakthrough came with their single "Dreams", released in June 1997, which entered the Media Control Top 100 chart. The group collaborated with various artists, including Rick J. Jordan and Michael Simon of Scooter, on subsequent releases like "Wake Up!" (February 2000) and "One Minute In Heaven" (2001). Their debut album Lightyears, released in 2001, included these singles along with other notable tracks such as "Do It". Sunbeam also contributed remixes to the Trance Allstars project from 1999 to 2002. After a hiatus starting in 2004, the group returned for a second stint with the Trance Allstars during their reunion in 2024.
