Irene Scardia is a pianist, composer, and performer, known for her highly lyrical and cinematic musical style. A graduate in classical piano from the Conservatory of Music in Lecce, she expanded her artistic path by studying jazz harmony and composition, creating a refined and personal sonic language.
Her multidisciplinary background, which also includes dance and theater, has allowed her to produce works that blend music, dance, and theatrical performances. She has released three albums with the label Workin’ Label: I Giorni del Vento (2009), Risvegli (2012), and Una stanza tutta per me (2021), the latter accompanied by a collection of piano scores. In 2023, she released the single Abbracciami, produced by Filippo Bubbico, and in 2024, a new EP is expected, in collaboration with a string quintet.
Since 1998, Irene has been the President of the Cultural Association L’Orchestrina di Lecce, with which she has promoted numerous educational initiatives and founded her record label, Workin' Label, in 2009. Through this label, she has produced and promoted many artists, contributing to both the Italian and international music scene. She is also the creator and artistic director of notable festivals and events such as the Piano Piano Festival and Suoni a Sud.
