Ilja Glusgal, born on July 24, 1921, in Berlin, Germany, was a singer and musician. He started as a drummer in 1942 before joining the Radio Berlin Tanzorchester in 1946. His vocal talents were discovered by Michael Jary, leading to a solo career from 1948. Glusgal released singles such as "Bitte ein Bit!" (1951) and appeared in films between 1952 and 1956, including La Danse des étoiles. He played a role in the musical Herz am Spieß by Michael Jary in 1956. Glusgal emigrated to the United States at the end of the 1950s and participated in Olympia-Ball on ZDF in 1964. He passed away on April 17, 1983, in San Francisco.
