Daniel McCarthy is a teen artist from London, UK. He writes and produces all of his own songs. Daniel’s music style is primarily modern Pop but he does occasionally explore other genres.
Daniel's debut album (of 10 songs) will be coming out around Jul/Aug 2021, but before that he will be releasing some of tracks as singles, starting with 'Stonewall' in January 2021.
In 2019, Daniel was a double semi-finalist (out of a total of 18,000 entries) in the prestigious American-based International Songwriting Competition (ISC). His current song, 'Stonewall', was one them.
Also in 2019, four of Daniel's songs also reached the semi-finals of the UK Songwriting Contest. Then again in 2020, he entered two more songs & they both reached the semi-finals too.
One of Daniel's first songs, 'Slow Car', was played on BBC Surrey radio in April 2020. Then in August 2020, another one of his songs, 'Orange Sunset', was selected as BBC Sussex & BBC Surrey's BBC Introducing South Track of the Day and was played on 24th August. Then on 5th November Lizzie Romain of Hayes FM then played 'Orange Sunset' on air.
More recently, on 27th December, Daniel was interviewed by BBC Surrey & BBC Sussex radio about his forthcoming album (due out mid-2021) and his forthcoming single 'Stonewall' was exclusively aired prior to its release.
In 2021, expect to hear a lot more of Daniel’s music.
