Independent D.I.Y. Hip Hop
Mentira Witch Project has been active in the Greek hip-hop scene since 2015. From the beginning, the goal of the group was to create an independent, collaborative, politically charged, and DIY music community.
In addition to Mentira, who is the main voice and MC of the project, the group includes DJ Differ as the resident DJ, Jimmy'ss Senga as the producer and sound engineer, and Lenka, who plays a key role in design, aesthetic curation, communication, and organization. Behind the scenes, other individuals are also involved, taking on technical, audiovisual, and creative tasks, shaping the coherence, content, and identity of the group.
The group has released several singles, and their first full-length album, titled Kravges Abyssou (Screams of the Abyss), was released in 2021. Currently, they are working on a new album titled Siopilos Orizontas (Silent Horizon).
Mentira Witch Project has performed live at numerous self-organized venues, social spaces, and festivals, always maintaining a direct connection with the audience and offering high-energy, politically charged live experiences. Their music is characterized by social and political lyrics, with clear anti-racist, anti-sexist, and anti-capitalist stances.
They continue their dynamic journey, with new tracks, participation in DIY festivals, collaborations with local and international artists, and a presence on digital platforms such as YouTube, where they are developing their audiovisual footprint.
