Mariposa" (Asia Pyrek) has been traveling on many levels for years—musically, geographically, and deep within herself—in search of understanding who we are and how we can lead a happy and fulfilled life. She shares the knowledge she has gained with others—through workshops, on her blog, and in her music.
Her musical journey began at the age of sixteen when she embarked on a nine-year exploration of the entertainment industry as an organizer—at festivals, in recording studios, on radio and television, in theater, film production, and television fairs—both in Poland and abroad. She then began to discover her innate musicality—playing percussion on her belly, the djembe, and the didgeridoo; co-founding the band Nell’Ambientes (album Tribal); singing in a jazz choir; composing music for films and theater; organizing jam sessions for a decade; performing with improvisational vocal groups; recording the album Mariposa – Efekt Motyla in Cuba; and leading the Mariposa Circle Singing choir for 3.5 years, inspired by the teachings of Bobby McFerrin. She has also created her own music workshops (JesteśMY Muzyką – We Are Music), composed in the duo Uraboros’Tribe, and finally, recorded an a cappella album that spans multiple musical styles.
Her upcoming album, "O! Miłości..." ("Oh! Love..."), is on the horizon, with the first single, "Jestem" ("I Am"), already released.
