Tapete has been rapping and singing since 2005, mostly on his self-produced instrumentals and occasionally on the piano. He has given more than 500 small and medium-sized concerts (including Fusion, Nacht der Talente, Ract!-Festival, TVNoir) in various formations but mainly solo. Tapete has released 6 albums, 4 EPs and several singles to date. Almost all releases are available for free download directly from his homepage in addition to Spotify & Co. The 5th solo album Tür auf oder Tapete was released digitally on 21 September 2018 via rauhfaser records and was also released on vinyl in April 2019.
Tapete also produces songs for/with other musicians such as Lena Stoehrfaktor, Yok Quetschenpaua, Mogli (Früchte des Zorns), ASI-ES and more: e.g. the title track "Tres mujeres guerreras" ("Three female warriors") for the documentary of the same name for the Colombian rapper Diana Avella.
The rapcore EP 'first takes tape' was created in early 2014 in collaboration with Guts Pie Earshot and Lena Stoehrfaktor under the project name Outsourced Underground.
Tapete is not a member of GEMA. He performs and produces for the Berlin label rauhfaser records. In 2021, he successfully completed his training as an audio engineer at the SAE Institute Berlin.
2022 Tapete produced singles and 2 one-minute-tracks albums.
In May 2025 TAPETE released the single "Brandmauer" and fills his social media channels with fresh content. Watch out!
