From a loving, family-oriented kid to a force to be reckoned with in the music scene, SQ's journey is one of resilience and transformation. Growing up as the second youngest in a household of 8, he was a Grade-A student and universally loved by his peers. But in April 2015, everything changed when his father "Zilla" was wrongly accused of murder. At just 10 years old, SQ’s life was turned upside down.
With his peers turning on him and the label of "son of a murderer" overshadowing his brilliance, he shut the world out. Over the next half-decade, his paranoia brought police attention, but through the darkness, he found solace in music. SQ began to pour his pain and vulnerability into poetry and rhymes, using music as his therapy.
Today, SQ's music reflects the mind of a survivor—unpredictable, unforgiving, and unapologetic. His journey from an abandoned child to a powerful voice in rap shows the world who he truly is.
