JNR VIGI, are talented singers/ songwriters from Keapara Village in Central part of Papua New Guinea. Their musical journey began during their school years when they first experimented with songwriting and recording.
In 2012, they released their debut song, Jersalema, marking the start of their career. With the support of their parents and modest equipment, they developed their craft, with Emmanuel focusing on Lyrics and Melodies and Arah taking the lead in production and also with Lyrics and Melodies. Their breakthrough came in 2019 with the release of Love Anna, which gained attention, including airplay on Yumi FM, a radio station in Port Moresby. This success was followed by their 2023 hit, Eh Vivi, which quickly became popular, over 400k views on YouTube.
JNR VIGI have also worked with few of PNG's known Artists like Kronos, Jarahn, Kali-D and along with Artists from Solomon Island such as Jaro Local and Joe Briz.
The duo is strongly influenced by Afrobeats, Island Reggae, Reggae, and Amapiano, blending these genres with their native language to create a unique sound that reflects both their cultural roots and global influences. Their music not only celebrates their heritage but also serves as a means to preserve their native tongue, which they continue to speak with pride.
Looking ahead, they are confident that their best work is still to come and are eager to continue sharing their music with the world. With their ever-growing fanbase and innovative approach to music, JNR VIGI is poised to take their careers to new heights, both in Papua New Guinea and globally.
