Andy Hunter is a British Christian electronic dance music artist and DJ born on April 23, 1974, in Leicester. He began his career in the Bristol drum and bass scene as a sound engineer for acts including Suede and The Wonder Stuff. In 1992, he joined New Generation Music and Mission as a traveling engineer. Under the name Hydro, he released the albums Spiritualisation (1996) and Aborigination (1998). In 1997, he formed the band Trip, which released the album Cultural Shift in 1999. Hunter released his solo debut, Exodus, in 2002 through Nettwerk Records. Subsequent recordings included Life (2005), which received a Dove Award in 2006, and Colour (2008). His music, including the song “Go”, was featured in the films The Italian Job and The Matrix Reloaded and the video games Black Hawk Down and Enter the Matrix. Between 2016 and 2023, he released the Presence album series.
