Hyper Crush was an American electro-hip hop group from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2006. The founding members were Donny Fontaine and Preston Moronie, who initially performed as the doo-wop group the Bel-Airs. The group subsequently added singer Holly Valentine and transitioned to an electronic style. Hyper Crush released the debut Mixtape Volume 1 in 2007, which featured the recordings “The DeLorean” and “Slow Motion”.The group released the debut album The Arcade in 2008. After signing with Universal Motown, Hyper Crush released the recordings “Keep Up” (2009) and “Ayo” (2010), the latter featuring Diplo. In 2010, the recording “Kick Us Out” reached number 6 on the Billboard Dance/Club Play chart. In 2011, the group founded Night Wave Records and released the album Night Wave in 2012. Their discography included the album Vertigo (2013) and the 2020 recordings “Repeat” and “No Sweat”. Hyper Crush performed as an opening act for Lady Gaga in 2009.
