HalloDad is a band from Mataram, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, which was formed in 2021 by several high school students. Consisting of Rismanuel (Vocalist & Guitarist), Gus De (Background Vocalist & Bassist), Yoga Candra (Drummer), and James Halim (Keyboardist & Programming).
Starting at the end of 2018, Rismanuel wanted to form a band when he was still in middle school. Directed by a dream and starting with the words "Let's get into a band!", Rismanuel finally invited 2 of his classmates, Gus De and Yoga Candra, to join. As time went by, they decided to take their band project seriously under the name HalloDad in 2021.
After creating several songs, HalloDad decided to add a variety of other instruments, namely keyboards, to the songs they created. Then, they asked James Halim for help with a position as an additional member in 2023. After working on several song projects, James Halim officially joined HalloDad in 2024.
A little story about the meaning of the band name HalloDad, the name of this band was created based on a child's disappointment with a father figure who did not support what they did to become musicians or artists. Through this band, they want to prove that they are capable of being more than what their parents imagined.
