Mondo is a duo of experienced composers, whose music, inspired by the 80s-90s, integrates modern rhythms and textures: a synergy to convey a message that is both autobiographical and universal. The favorite themes are love, in all its aspects, and our impact on the world as individuals.
The "Apopheniac Tour" (2016) presented pop rock material, based on the independent album "Boat Loves No Traffic". This was the foundation of the artistic collaboration of Gus and Missié.
Fruit of this collaboration, the album "The Unexpected Beauty", integrates electronic music and remote artistic participation. Recorded over two years (2019-20), in Argentina, Israel, Los Angeles and London, with the participation of David Rhodes - known for his work with Kate Bush, David Bowie, Peter Gabriel ..., as well as a high-flying solo career, "The Unexpected Beauty" was mixed in Argentina and mastered in England (Abbey Road).
In 2023, Mondo recorded a concept album on climate change entitled "Perfect Randomness", entrusted to Yoad Nevo, winner of multiple Grammy Awards. With two singles in preview: "Black Hole" and "Rain Over The Pole", the full album was released in September 2024.
Mondo's current show includes musical performances integrating the last two albums and a preview of the fourth (for about an hour and a quarter), accompanied by original and dedicated video art.
