Born and raised in Newcastle, 21 year old Ellie Scougall is cutting her teeth in the city’s underground club scene. Ellie's love for dance music and energetic sets is turning heads thanks to DJ sets featuring a unique selection of House, Garage and anything else uplifting and groovy.
Despite growing up with a classical background, playing Piano and Violin throughout her school years, Ellie quickly found a love for EDM at age 13, ranging from artists like Aviciii and Martin Garrix through to DJ Sammy. Having younger parents who shared the same love for Ibiza classics and collected Ministry of Sound CD’s, Ellie became infatuated with the world of electronic dance music, eager for a taste of the nightlife scene.
Regardless of the fact she didn't know anyone in the world of music, Ellie taught herself how to DJ by spending hours everyday watching Youtube, downloading music and reaching out to local clubs and being thrown straight in the deep end with a warm up set at Digital, Newcastle. She went on to have several residencies in the city, often playing all night long, where she really learnt how to DJ and control a crowd. Catching the eyes of promoters in Newcastle and beyond, Ellie has since gone on to support some of her biggest inspirations when making music - that of Gorgon City, D.O.D and Sam Divine. Ellie is set for an exciting journey to leaving an everlasting mark on the scene.
