At 24 years old, STER knows her greatest mission: to break down any barrier between popular and classical music. Born and raised in Penha, a peripheral neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, by a brazilian and carioca black mother, pianist and music teacher, and a chilean white father, singer and barber, the young artist has always had art close to her. She was a violin student at the Villa-Lobos School of Music and aimed to study in the United States before being interrupted by the Covid 19 pandemic. At home, STER created her YouTube channel and TikTok account, gaining significant visibility by performing contemporary hits on the violin, such as L7NNON's "Ai Preto" and Mc Poze do Rodo's "A Cara do Crime". She caught the attention of various artists and the mainstream media, participating in the recording of Sandra de Sá's new album and appearing on the TV Globo shows Encontro and RJ1. Also invited by TV Globo, she produced, recorded, arranged, and starred in the promotional campaign for Globo’s coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Additionally, she was a member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra and part of the cast of Hairspray, The Musical, based on the movie of the same name. In 2024, STER debuts her first original show at the Rock in Rio 40th-anniversary edition at Espaço Favela and release "Encaxa," the second single from her first original project, titled "Funk Erudito." The song "Anel," released in June, was a success with both audiences and critics, generating over 100,000 streams and more than 40,000 monthly listeners on digital music platforms, kickstarting the promising career of the artist on the right foot.
