From an early age, Laurent Cuenca has been fascinated by mixing. It all started with a battery-operated mixer with no pre-listening, on which Léo tried to mix a record with the groove of a spinning record. Since then, Laurent has never stopped trying to create new things in his spare time.
His DJ career began in 1989 at the legendary "Whiskey a Go Go club", turning a childhood dream into reality. However, he soon moved on to work with a number of French radio stations. In the 90s he worked as a radio presenter for Voltage, NRJ, Fun Radio, Radio FG...
From 1998 to 2002, he launched the ‘Mix of Leo’ radio show on Fun Radio. A few years later, this resulted in an electro house compilation of the show's signature tracks. He released two albums, ‘Summer Vibes’ (2003) and ‘Carte de Visite vol. 2’ (2008) as DJ LEO CUENCA.
His passion for mixing always brings him back to the turntables, and in his spare time he plays in some of Paris's most popular nightclubs: Les Bains Douches, the Queen, the Mix Club and many others.
In 2009, he ran his own show on Virgin Radio, creating the first mixed pop-rock programme. Today, he is still on air on Virgin Radio, every Saturday night for ‘Club Virgin Radio’ from midnight to 2am. Since then, he has devoted himself to composing.
