🌳 Debut album Terra Coda out 11th Oct on Tru Thoughts 🌳
The Terra Collective Orchestra is the project of renowned composer, pianist, producer, musical director and artist, Benji Bower, who unites Bristol’s most acclaimed musicians to form a 60-piece ensemble. Benji began curating the project after receiving a Develop Your Creative Practice Grant from Arts Council England. He then enlisted assistance from renowned theatre producers Impossible-Producing to secure a substantial ACE grant to bring the project to fruition.
He has scored the soundtrack for Wilke Branson’s multi-award-winning film ‘Tom’ plus The Old Vic’s ‘A Monster Calls’, which was nominated for ‘Outstanding Achievement In Music’ at the Olivier Awards. Benji has toured with Bonobo and Alice Russell and worked closely with artist and producer Kathleen Frances. He has also remixed a variety of artists including LTJ Bukem, Heritage Orchestra and Hundred Strong, produced four critically acclaimed albums under the alias Unforscene and recorded a BBC Radio 1 Maida Vale session for Gilles Peterson Worldwide.
Benji has composed for theatre productions including National Theatre: 'Jane Eyre', National Theatre Live: 'Peter Pan' and Bristol Old Vic: 'Wonder Boy' (as shown on Sky Arts). He has also collaborated with theatre companies such as the National Theatre of Scotland, Sadler's Wells and Kneehigh Theatre.
