Mar Otra Vez was a Spanish post-punk and no wave group formed in 1984, led by Javier Corcobado. The band emerged from another project, 429 Engaños, founded by Corcobado and influenced by groups like the Residents and Cabaret Voltaire. Mar Otra Vez became recognized for their experimental fusion of rock and noise music, influencing the post-punk scene in Spain and becoming a cult favorite among music enthusiasts. Their debut release was the EP No He Olvidado Cómo Jugar Embarrado / Fiesta Del Diablo Y El Cerdo in 1985. The band underwent several lineup changes and released their final album, Algún paté venenoso, in 1987. Despite offers to continue from their label, Grabaciones Accidentales, Mar Otra Vez disbanded in 1987, with Corcobado then forming Demonios Tus Ojos.
