Faraón is an alternative rock band from Monterrey, Mexico, formed by Rigo León (vocals and guitar), Aarón Martinez (guitar), Jaime de La Garza (guitar and percussion), Sebastian Cerecero (bass), and Carlos Rodríguez (drums).
The band began in April 2021 with their first single "Omen," which features a dark and melancholic sound that has become their signature. In July of the same year, they released their second single "Luz," which opened doors for them to share the stage with DLD at Auditorio Pabellón M, Porter at Auditorio Río 70, and more bands throughout the year. In October 2021, the band released their first EP "Maat," which includes six songs, featuring "Fractalis," "Aradia," "Cuervo," and their focus track "El Oro."
After the release of "Maat," the band promoted their EP by performing at important venues such as Show Center, Pabellón M, Foro Didi, and Auditorio Río 70 in Monterrey, CDMX, Pachuca, and more cities across the country.
Following the premieres of "Luna Roja," "Carpenter," "Satori," "Leviatán" in collaboration with Blas Cernicchiaro, the vocalist of the band BETA, and "Linda Vista," Faraón now presents "Renacer," the sixth single from what will be their first full-length album, scheduled for release at the end of this year, titled "SANTERO."
"Renacer" is just a preview of what is to come in their debut album "SANTERO."
