This collective was created in 1990 by a trio of Italian DJs, heavily influenced by the psychedelic funk of George Clinton (Parliament and Funkadelic) and the powerful, even "dynamite" vocals of James Brown. But as well as bringing their idols' music up to date by incorporating samples, electronic beats and live instruments (an indispensable, powerful and melodic bass, guitar and drums), Jestofunk's talent lies in their judicious choice of "voices", which have made their singles unforgettable: "Say it Again " in 1994, from the album Love in a Black Dimension (1995), and many other gems from Universal Mother (1998) and 70 Miles from Philadelphia (2003). In short, a benchmark band in house music.
