Pertti Kalevi Ahlqvist, known professionally as Pepe Ahlqvist, and born on July 4, 1956, in Nastola, Finland, is a blues singer and musician who began his musical journey influenced by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones but found his niche with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers. Ahlqvist's career took off with the release of 20 Suosikki/Kaikessa Soi Blues in 1997. He continued to build his discography with notable albums such as H.A.R.P. (2006), Hip Shakin' (2007), and Tigerbeat (2010). Ahlqvist's work also included collaborations with various artists, and he has been signed under labels like Fazer/Warner Music. He won the annual Blues & Roots Music Special Award Jemma by the Pirkanmaa Blues Association - Blues Lovers Association in 2010.
