Uplifting electronic dance music has been a staple of RCola's creative output for the last 20 years. Stepping out in 2002 as one-half of ragga-jungle heavy weights Chopstick Dubplate, RCola went solo in 2005 and toured North America and Europe extensively in support of his 12" vinyl productions, many of which are now highly sought-after by collectors. Known for re-mixing reggae hits into dance-floor shakers, RCola has cultivated a worldwide following of "reggae-jungle" loving fans.
The Rolla, a follow up to RCola's 2009 full-length Rub A Dub Wize, is a collection of previously unreleased tunes that were created in between his 250+ live DJ sets and numerous vinyl releases, spanning the last 15 years. It is a 12-track throwback experience, showcasing RCola's sound system and electronic music inspirations.
RCola has become famous for skank-driven jungle and diverse electronic influences, spotlighting the tightrope he walks between quirkiness and dance floor sensibility.
