Jukka Tapio Karjalainen, known professionally as J. Karjalainen, was born in 1957, in Finland and is a Finnish singer-songwriter. His musical journey began with the release of his first album, J. Karjalainen ja Mustat Lasit, in 1981. Over the years, Karjalainen has released numerous albums, including Kookospähkinäkitara (1987), Lännen-Jukka (2006), and Polkabilly Rebels (2010). His music blends various genres such as blues, rock 'n' roll, folk, country, soul, funky, and New Orleans styles. Karjalainen's discography also includes notable singles like “Mennyt mies” (2013) and “Meripihkahuone” (2013). He has been highly influential in the Finnish music scene.
