In 2020, he recorded demo tracks for local shows, setting the stage for his official career launch in 2023 during his NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) year. His debut track, Tha Hate, was followed by successful releases including Blessings, Special, and Better Days. Special stands out as his most well-received single, though the other tracks are also performing well.
Influenced by artists like NF, Lil Durk, Polo G, Juice Wrld, and XXXTentacion, Da'Khay blends Afro, Hip-Hop, Trap, Afrobeats, and Drill in his music. He has collaborated with Blaqgeezus, Troy, Oryon, and 17x, and his upcoming EP, Phase One, promises exciting collaborations.
In university, Da'Khay was recognized as the Best Rapper in his department and school, and performed in the biggest show of his university era. His performances were met with enthusiastic reactions, including fans jumping on stage to shower him with money. This experience, coupled with the continued support and recognition from his peers, solidified his status as a standout artist.
