Sophie Riviere is a pianist and composer from the island of Noirmoutier in France.
Lulled throughout her childhood by the world of sailors and the sea, she began playing the piano at a very young age, encouraged by her father, a long-distance merchant marine captain and passionate about music.
Her compositions are inspired by the neoclassical style and the minimalist music and set childhood memories to music with a sweet nostalgia.
She regularly collaborates with the Noirmoutier Island tourist office to compose musical pieces illustrating the beauty of island nature.
Playing the piano in the great outdoors with her rolling piano, whether on the beach or the salt marshes to be in symbiosis with nature seems to be her passion.
Her first album, BLEU, an ode to nature and the sea, is above all a declaration of love to her island, Noirmoutier.
