Formed in 2023 by Danish composers Thomas Munk-Petersen and Stig Halskov, Featherdrop features internationally acclaimed and multi-award-winning soloists Eyal Lovett (piano) and Thomas Fryland (trumpet). Their upcoming album, Nocturnes is scheduled for release in the spring of 2025.
Drawing inspiration from film music and Nordic and Middle Eastern folk, Featherdrop creates evocative soundscapes combining compositional depth with virtuosic improvisation.
The genre is contemporary jazz, and the moods of the coming Nocturnes are relaxed and atmospheric, suitable for study or reflection in the late hours.
