YOTSI are a new band on the Kinshasa music scene, with a single watchword: NO BORDERS!
Leah, Linda, Jephte and Tychick are the new generation of Congolese musicians, the ones who have grown up with all the world's music thanks to Spotify and Youtube! Yotsi is inspired by all the traditional rhythms of the DRC and Africa, as well as jazz, funk and folk!
They are all songwriters and composers, and there are no borders when it comes to writing either, with lyrics in Kimongo, Kikongo, Tshiluba, Swahili and Lingala to reach the whole of the DRC. Their message is universal and speaks of solidarity, unity and love!
Their first album will be released in December 2023, and in their image, it is an album "without borders": mixed in Paris by Yarol Poupaud, mastered in Los Angeles by Mario Caldato, the Yotsi invited 11 musicians from all continents who brought their own musical universe to each track.
