Hi, my name is Alexine, I’m a Dutch/American artist, and this is my musical project: Alexine. I started writing and producing music when I was 16, and my love for creating soundscapes, layering vocal harmonies and storytelling only grew stronger ever since.
My music reflects the little world inside my head, my experiences, and my personal perspectives. I talk about my emotions, but also use it to speak up on societal subjects I think are important and should be addressed. Like my upcoming single ‘i’m sorry, i let you down’. A song about both internal and external homophobia. Sharing my experience and journey towards fully accepting myself. Intended for the introverted and insecure, this song shows other queer people that they’re not alone, and their journey is valid.
