After several years as a drummer in high school bands in a small city of the French Alps, it was in Montreal, Canada, that his passion for electronic music ignited. Experiencing for the first time clubs and underground parties, he found his calling. Influenced by artists like The Who, E.L.O., The Chemical Brothers or Alan Parsons Project, he tends to give back to music a feeling of authenticity that he finds missing in today’s industry. Mainly inspired by both and , he spent several years digging into old DJ magazines and forgotten forums, seeking to create an approach to music production that captures the process of the late '90s, by exclusively using studio gear used by producers of that era. Combining classic production techniques, vinyl DJ sets, and tape camcorder video skits, his world reflects the greatness of the pre-Y2K years. Catching the attention of french producer Uppermost, he got offered an EP release "How To Use A VHS Camera?" in summer 2022 ; & Kookoo Records, little brother of legendary disco label Unidisc, released singles such as "Fade Out", "Undercranking", and an EP in summer 2023. With a dedication to crafting music that breaks the mold, The Director's style allowed him to gain trust by acts such as Calptone, Dombresky, Ian Pooley ; And festivals /medias such as Piknic Electronik, Radio FG & More.
