Frederick Rousseau, born on April 9, 1958, in Paris, France, is a French composer. After classical piano training, he transitioned to various pop instruments before returning to keyboards. In 1978, he worked at the CEA but soon left to join Francis Mandin in creating Music Land, a pioneering electronics store. Rousseau's breakthrough came in 1981 when he collaborated with Jean-Michel Jarre for his China tour, using innovative sequencing technology. He later contributed to Les Concerts en Chine and worked with Vangelis on the soundtrack for Blade Runner. In 1984, he participated in Zoolook, and in 1987, co-founded Studio Méga. Rousseau's own compositions include Mō (1994), Spirit in the Woods (1995), and Abyss (1996). He also collaborated with Vangelis on various projects, including Mythodéa (2001) and the opening ceremony of the 1997 World Athletics Championships.
