De Toppers, a Dutch supergroup consisting of René Froger, Gerard Joling, Jeroen van der Boom, and Jan Smit, formed in 2005. Initially featuring Gordon Heuckeroth, who left in 2011, the group's repertoire included pop, country, disco, and dance music, among others. They gained prominence with their annual concert series Toppers in Concert, which began in 2005 at the Johan Cruyff Arena and became the longest-running concert series in the Benelux region. Notable albums include Toppers in Concert (2005) and Kerst Met De Toppers (2006). They represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song "Shine", although they did not qualify for the final. The group received a Special Achievement Award in 2017 for selling over 1.5 million copies of Toppers in Concert (CD + DVD).
