Tolga Kashif, born in 1962 in London, is a British composer and conductor of Turkish Cypriot descent. He studied at the Royal College of Music and Bristol University, debuting professionally with the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. His career includes notable works like The Queen Symphony (2002) and The Genesis Suite (2010), and collaborations with orchestras such as the Polish National Symphony and the St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
Kashif's work with The Music Sculptors included co-writing the soundtrack for the children's animation First Snow of Winter (1999). He also musically directed the BBC Children in Need's platinum-selling single "Perfect Day" (1997) and collaborated with Korean rock icon Seo Taiji for The Great 2008 Seotaiji Symphony concert. Kashif's composition "Drop In the Ocean" (2002), commissioned by the National Foundation for Youth Music, was performed at the Royal Festival Hall and Westminster Abbey.
