Biography

Formed in 2021, Kaytraminé is a duo consisting of American rapper Aminé and Haitian-Canadian producer Kaytranada. In 2014, the rapper issued an unofficial remix of Kaytranada's song "At All," kicking off a fruitful creative relationship that continued throughout the following year on Aminé's second mixtape Calling Brio, which featured the producer on three of its tracks. In 2021, the pair rented a house in Malibu and began working on their first collaborative album. Featuring a wide array of influences that ranged from jazz to hip-hop, their studio debut Kaytraminé was first teased on social media in April 2023. A few days later, the duo unveiled the album's lead single "4eva" featuring Pharrell Williams. This was followed by a second single titled "Rebuke" in May of that year. The full-length album was released to critical acclaim on May 19, 2023, and included additional guest appearances by Freddie Gibbs, Big Sean, Amaarae, and Snoop Dogg. Kaytraminé reached Number 92 on the Billboard 200, Number 41 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and charted in countries such as Canada, Belgium, Ireland, and New Zealand.
