Tural and Turan, twin brothers representing Azerbaijan at Eurovision Song Contest 2023, are young street musicians whose music takes listeners back in time with its retro vibe and simple yet magnificent tunes. They grew up surrounded by stunning landscapes and quality music since early childhood, mostly influenced by their beloved father’s music taste. Among musicians who shaped their understanding of quality music they name Pink Floyd, Joe Cocker, Billy Joel, Guns’ n ’Roses. Their music style also gets often compared to Oasis music band’s.
Tural and Turan had basic musical education when they started performing at school events, but ever since they have been dreaming of musical career.
Realizing they wanted to be connected to the audience, and having no chance to perform on bigger stages, they went to the streets – got licensed, and started singing at squares and parks of Baku. Their repertoire was different from most of the street musicians’ in Baku - the 60s-70s vibe has since been their signature. They will go on Eurovision stage in Liverpool with their self-penned song “Tell Me More”.
