Milton Batera began his musical journey at a young age, influenced by his drummer father. He started playing the drums at the age of 7 and took up the guitar at 12. By the age of 15, he was already composing his own songs. Between the ages of 10 and 17, he was part of his school's Marching Band in Florianópolis, where he stood out as the best percussionist and composer, with performances even in the United States.
At 17, Milton was performing in bars and was part of a Big Band. He moved to Balneário Camboriú, collaborating with local artists, and later to São Paulo, where his band was produced by an artistic director from Virgin Records.
His international career blossomed in Portugal, where he played and recorded with renowned local and global musicians. He participated in international festivals across Europe and performed in prestigious venues such as the Blue Note in Germany and Jazzhus Montmartre in Denmark. His influences include Bossa Nova, Jazz, MPB, Black Music, Neo Soul, Pop, and World Music.
In addition to being a drummer, Milton is a guitarist, composer, and producer, having collaborated with artists like Randy Brecker, Philip Hamilton, Fernando Deluqui, Diego Figueiredo, and Golden Gypsies. Currently, he continues to compose, produce, and record his music, both solo and in projects like BitSints and Escafandras. His songs have been gaining prominence on digital platforms and radio stations in Brazil and Europe, solidifying his reputation as a creative and versatile artist.
