Max Gotham is an Irish Singer-Songwriter hailing from County Clare who brings a rich tapestry of influences to his craft and is a figure to watch closely in the music realm. Growing up in a family steeped in Irish Traditional Music, Max's journey into music was practically predestined. A serendipitous encounter with a grand piano at just 12 years old ignited a lifelong passion for crafting melodies that would shape his journey.
Venturing into music production soon after, Max began exploring a myriad of genres including but not limited to Pop, EDM, Hip-Hop, and Happy Hardcore. His formal education in Music at the Galway Technical Institute and later at the Limerick Institute of Technology honed his skills in Music Technology and Production. Despite his classical training, Max's gift lies in his ability to produce/ compose by ear, a testament to his innate musical intuition. In terms of composing draw’s inspiration from luminaries like Max Richter, Hans Zimmer, and Samuel Barber and he has created some very emotive piece’s under his own name [Gearóid Hanley], he has also worked on various projects for clothing companies in Ireland & the UK.
What sets Max apart is his versatility—he not only produces and composes all his music but also takes on the roles of mixing and mastering, continually refining his craft. Adding another layer to his repertoire, Max now also lends his voice to his compositions, showcasing his multifaceted talent after avoiding doing so for many years. In terms of singing Max is predominantly influenced by Post Malone, Imogen Heap & Nirvana. Max has a very unique & emotive sounding voice showcasing a vocal range that traverses both low and high registers with ease.
In 2024, Max embarked on a new chapter in his musical journey as a Singer/Songwriter having spent a long time working with other artists. Combining his prowess in composition with his emotive vocals, he is carving out a niche for himself in the industry. With a dedicated focus on crafting authentic and resonant songs, Max is diligently building a catalogue of releases that promise to leave a lasting impact on listeners.
