Florencia Arenas Bisceglia, known artistically as Polaca, is a prominent Chilean actress, singer, author, and composer. She was born on July 29, 1994, in Santiago, Chile, the daughter of Eusebio Arenas and Flavia Bisceglia, both originally from Argentina, who immigrated to Chile in 1991 in search of new job opportunities.
Polaca, who is the third of four siblings, showed an innate talent for the performing arts and music from a very young age. Since childhood, the guitar has been her faithful companion for creating her songs. She grew up listening to a versatile playlist of artists such as Charly García, Etta James, Alicia Keys, Nina Simone, Mercedes Sosa, Queen, and more.
She began singing in small festivals and competitions. Nowadays, she is on big stages singing songs that she creates from her personal experiences to reach the hearts of her fans. She is noted for her vocal versatility, exploring different musical genres.
She has professional studies in acting and theater, which led her to develop her interpretation skills. Polaca considers aesthetics to be very important when composing. Each song has its atmosphere, and she seeks to find it by encompassing all aspects of design.
