Born in Congo-Kinshasa, Shakena is endowed with charisma and ease both on stage and in front of the camera. She has demonstrated and honed these qualities through various experiences in theater and on screen (such as "La dernière vague" on France2) as well as in various urban events.
In 2017, she released her first single "RED WINE," which she independently produced. It was featured as a discovery on NRJ TV and Fun Radio. In 2018, she released "TOCA," also featured in an urban show on Fun Radio. With the tracks "RED WINE" and "TOCA," which she produced under her real name, Rachel Onema, she dubbed her music "Afropean Melting Pop (AMP)." This music, with its multiple influences, carries a strong, positive, sexy message and always invites listeners to dance!
In 2024, SHAKENA is presenting a new project with the first track titled "Tout Doux."
The singer shares her boundless ambition and resilience with us. Despite obstacles, she confidently asserts her status and reigns over this track, which blends Afro Pop and R'n'B.
