amilost are a Scottish/Norwegian alt-pop duo born in London. Welcome into their home of Scandinavian pop with a touch of cinematic grandeur!
After launching with their debut ‘Pillowside’ in 2023, released on Norwegian indie MADE Records, the band received a warm reception in the Nordics with mainstream radio playlisting, press and Spotify editorials. This led to an invite to perform at Norway’s biggest industry showcase festival, by:Larm in 2024.
UK shows coincided with supports for Tom Speight at Islington Assembly Hall and Murdo Mitchell at Omeara, London. The band were also invited to perform a live session for BBC Introducing.
Moving into 2024 the band signed to Stockholm-based tastemaker label, Icons Creating Evil Art. Their debut single 'Bloom' dropped in May ’24, showcasing the band’s new sonic direction, receiving strong write ups from Earmilk and Metal Magazine alongside a BBC Introducing 'Track of the Week'.
Their latter offerings, ‘Tiny War’ & ‘Haunted’ dropped late 2024 alongside a Eurosonic Festival '25 announcement. Tiny War was adopted by TikTok fans and viewed over 20 million times. Their following collab single ‘Afterthought’ featuring Nick Wilson dropped March 12th.
Though amilost’s songs come from a personal place, they seem to capture something more universal in the human psyche. Pain and loneliness may be the starting point but intense and often ecstatic music is the outcome.
