At his age of 14 singer/songwriter Gery Riba worked as a roofer earning money to buy his first guitar. He formed his first band the southern metal/crossover Above The Under (later changed name to Karmageddon) in 2007. In 2009 Gery joined the progressive death metal band Philosopher as vocalist. Soon after he left the band for the reason he wanted to play music like Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree. In 2012 he worked in the USA and wrote 'Learnings' on a half-stringed acoustic guitar. This event referred as the start of 'Tamirel'. In 2014 Gery moved to Norway where he finished most of the songs of his debut album 'You and the World'. In 2024, after six years of vagabond lifestyle Gery released his second album 'The Journey...' with new musical influences, but with the same essence.
