Modern Dog, a Thai rock band formed in Bangkok in 1992, included lead singer and guitarist Thanachai "Pod" Ujjin, guitarist Maetee Noijinda, drummer Pawin "Pong" Suwannacheep, and bassist Somath Bunyaratavech. The band won the Coke Music Contest in 1992 as a college group, marking their breakthrough moment. They signed with independent Thai record label Bakery Music and released their first self-titled album Modern Dog in 1994. The band's success played a significant role in popularising alternative rock in Thailand, achieving multiple Number 1 singles and selling over two million copies of their first five studio albums. Modern Dog also toured internationally, including performances in Tokyo in 2003 and a U.S. tour in July–August 2006.
