Gaëtan N’ZALA is a young French-speaking artist, author, composer, performer passionate about music born in Fort-de-France (Martinique).
He found himself immersed in the music world from a young age.
He was only six and a half years old when he had the chance to join the choir “Les Petits Chanteurs de Sainte-Thérèse” which awakened his first musical instincts.
Since this first experience, melodies and rhythm have haunted his mind. As a high school student, he spent his time writing choruses and punchlines even during class hours. His love for music never stopped growing, which led him to learn the art of piano and later complement his skills with a diploma as a studio sound engineer.

Gate La luz has a great musical wealth which has been nourished by its cultural influences and its geographical migrations. Reggae-dancehall, a musical genre originating from Jamaica but which is strongly practiced in its motherland, was part of his artistic career and his beginnings as a singer and composer.
Still an amateur, he chose "Headphone" as his stage name, a name which would later be known to the general public on his island.
In 2013 he released the album “Amen” as a tribute to his most loyal fans with the intention of leaving the dancehall world to embark on an innovative project, a personal challenge that will make him discover new facets of himself. and which will lead him to encounters and experiences which will change his way of conceiving music.

This artistic and personal evolution is the source of a new musical color, a new style mixing sounds from all genres (dancehall, pop, urban pop, hip hop, afro and reggaeton...) with a Caribbean touch. A new form of expression supported by touching, true words and sounds of all genres.
“Gate La Luz” is the product of this personal research, a new stage name for a renewed artist/producer. This name, more closely resembling his first name, represents the stage of metamorphosis, like a door that opens to let in both a current of fresh air and light.

In addition to writing his own texts, Gate La Luz shares his talents as an author and composer by writing for other artists, this was the case with Shalya on the song "Goal to Africa" in 2012 (official song of the Cup of African Nations of Women). He was also requested in the same year by the artist Doutson for whom he wrote titles including "Vas-y Fonce and Le monde est fou" published in 2015 on the PLAY ON label. In 2017 he co- wrote the single “Mi Amore” by Jessy Matador which reached No. 1 in sales on iTunes and has nearly 1 million streams on Spotify and others.

After living 10 years in France, he decided to return to his native island where he worked in one of the largest studios in Martinique and collaborated with personalities such as
Dj Jackson, Phillipe Joseph, Jacob Desvarieux from the group Kassav, and others.
Due to his desire to grow and reach other spheres, Gate La Luz made the decision to settle in Miami in 2023.
He collaborates with artists of all genres as a composer and sound engineer.
