Bernard Menez is a French actor, director and singer best known for his comedic skills. Born on August 8, 1944, in Mailly-le-Château (Yonne), Bernard Menez began his career as a mathematics teacher in the late 1960s, before fully satisfying his passion for theater and comedy. He first came to prominence as Alexandre, the cynical flirt in Pascal Thomas's film Pleure pas la bouche pleine (1973). In 1977, this really shy big guy turned to song with "J'aime pas les filles qui fument" (I don't like girls who smoke ). His main success in this field came in 1983 with "Jolie Poupée", which had the whole of France dancing to a biguine tune. In 1993, Bernard Menez delivered a message for the fight against AIDS with "Les Capotes". The compilation Amour, Tendresse et Cocotiers, released in 2014, reveals his many facets behind the microphone.
