Born on June 16, 1991 in Kpahou, a district of Ouidah, a historic city located in the south-west of Benin, Nikanor took his first singing lessons in the children's choir and later in the musical group of his church, where he learns in turn, percussion and drums. Author, composer and performer, everything changed at the age of 20 when he met the famous animator Berchet Steve CHABI, who became his mentor in 2011. "Berchet told me yes, you can if you want" confides- Ten years later in "Le fils du pays", the eponymous title of his first album, launched on April 16, 2022. Sacred ''Best afropop artist / man'' and ''Best Collaboration'' of the year 2021 , with the titles " Mahugnon " and " You and me " in feat Sessimè, "Best Lyricist 2022" in Benin Top10, Nikanor thanks to his work has constantly climbed the ladder and confirmed his place in the top 5 of the new generation of Beninese urban music artists. On this first opus of 17 titles, he combines with dexterity, knowledge of traditional Beninese culture with rhythms from elsewhere with big name guests such as Sagbohan Danialou.
