lost in a party, trapped in a dream xx
Monza-born and London-based singer, songwriter, and producer, Alie is quickly building a name for herself across the EDM scene in the UK and the Netherlands, writing for and with multiple producers. Formerly the voice of electronic pop duo LIMINAL, her solo works now live between worlds - the fictitious liminal and the real one.
Building on the continuous support received from Spotify and BBC Radio 1 (boasting multiple plays from Jess Iszatt, Jaguar, and Phoebe Inglis-Holmes as well as editorial support on Spotify), Alie is now ready to embark on a new journey.
Her soft vocals and diaristic lyrics float over dreamlike textures, club rhythmic and emotional loops that feel both euphoric and fractured. Her music reflects on themes such as the cyclical patterns of emotion and memory. This world maintains an element of surrealism where Alie is the only constant and everyone else is passing through, faceless and fleeting like a forgotten dream.
Alie found her passion for music and lyricism in her early years in Italy, where she spent high school studying English, Italian, Latin, and Greek poetry. She credits this subject, as well as being classically trained on piano, as the foundations to her lyrical voice.
For her musical influences she credits Charli xcx, Flume, Tove Lo, Oklou, James Blake, RY X, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and BANKS, as she embarks on this journey as co-producer to all of her songs moving forward.
