The Flipper 's Guitar (フリップッパーズギター, Flipper's Guitar ) is a Japanese pop band. The band was originally formed by Keigo Oyamada (born January 27, 1969, Tokyo) and Yukiko Inoue (keyboards) as the Pee Wee 60's. After a few shows as a two-piece, Hidesaku Yoshida (bass) and Yasunobu Arakawa (drums) joined the band. Finally, Kenji Ozawa (born April 14, 1968 in Kanagawa, Japan) joined the band, making a five-piece lineup. They later changed their name to Flipper's Guitar in 1989, and disbanded in October 1991. Their music was strongly influenced by British and American indie pop and guitar pop, and they gained attention for their sound, which utilized sampling and collage-like techniques, and their humorous and intelligent lyrics.
